Kurmanzhan Datka (1811-1907) is the queen of the Alai Kyrgyz. Thanks to her diplomatic abilities, peace prevailed in the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan. At the time of her reign, the Alay joined the Russian Empire. Monument to the Alai queen was installed in the Oak Park in Bishkek in 2004. Sculptor V. Shestopal and architect A.Musinov managed to convey the image of a wise ruler. The monument is made of bronze and gray granite. The monument is among the sights of Bishkek.
