The northernmost peak is over 7 thousand meters high and the highest point of Kyrgyzstan is located on the Kokshal-Too ridge, between China and Kyrgyzstan. The peak was named in honor of the victory of the Soviet Union in the Second World War. The world-famous peak goes back to the Zvezdochka glacier, which forms a vertical steep wall at 3 km. To conquer the Victory Peak a lot of physical training is required, a beginner to climb to this peak is almost impossible. It is awarded a 5-6 category of difficulty depending on the mountain route. It is possible to make an ascent to the peak from China, but the ascent from the Kyrgyz slopes will become a more exciting adventure. The mountain is very wayward: the temperature here can drop below -30 degrees Celsius. There are often snowstorms and even avalanches. The peak is shrouded in the winds, which also becomes a test when passing here. Nevertheless, many climbers annually yearn to go to the Victory Peak. Previously, the main number of them was from Russia and CIS countries, but now there are daredevils from different parts of the world. For the first time the peak was conquered in 1938 by Soviet mountaineers. They were misinformed about the real height of the mountain and were surprised that they climbed much higher than planned. Expedition to the top can take up to 20-25 days, taking into account the unfavorable weather conditions. But the view of the most beautiful panorama of the Tian-Shan Mountains, opening from the top makes you forget about all the difficulties of the way. Here you can fulfill your dream: to touch the sky, to the clouds. The Victory Peak justifies its name, because climbing it is a real feat, a victory over yourself, elements and your own fears, bringing a feeling of great satisfaction.
