Many beautiful places can be seen on the way to Son-Kol lake. One of the roads to the lake passes through the Jalgyz-Karagai Pass. The pass is located at an altitude of 3437 meters above sea level. The passage through it can take from half an hour to an hour, depending on physical fitness and weather conditions. The track through Jalgyz-Karagai can be called a mid-term track. From the middle of the pass, the azure of Lake Son Kol appears, at first in the form of a small blue segment, increasing in proportion to the descent. And as a result, the view opens a picturesque panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. There is a green pasture with fragrant grass and a valley with yurts near the pass, in which you can taste the famous “kymyz” - a national drink made from mare's milk - with its useful properties. The valley is called Kelimche. Just next to the waves is another mountain lake - Tuz-Ashuu.
